The role of a Building Services Engineering team is not just about pipes and wires. We create comfortable and sustainable environments which delight their users and minimise environmental impact.
Our Building Services Technicians help us to illustrate mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems within these environments, utilising advanced 3D modelling technology such as Revit and Navisworks to ensure our clients' visions are accurately realised.
We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Technician to join our Building Services team in Bath; this is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and technologically inquisitive candidate looking to start a career in the construction sector.
What is Building Services Engineering?
Why shouldn’t your project use high performance, low energy building systems? We at BuroHappold work as part of a global team, balance client’s aspirations with engineering (and often budgetary) constraints, to design high performance, low energy building systems. We use advanced modelling techniques to analyse the building envelope and its floor layouts. Our innovatively designed systems are then integrated into the building fabric, to create functional internal spaces and balanced, controllable conditions.
What would I do as a Trainee Technician?
As a Building Services Technician, you will help our Engineers design and represent complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in 3D Building Information Models (BIM). Naturally, this is a varied role but day to day responsibilities will typically include:
What sort of projects would I work on?
The projects we deliver from the Bath office are diverse both in type and location, ranging from sports stadia in the UK, to airports in US and Asia, museums in the Middle East, and high end residential developments in London.
