We are currently recruiting for an accountant to join our fantastic finance team here at our London office! This is a an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified accountant who is looking for to gain exposure across all areas of the finance function whilst working alongside an excellent team in a supportive environment.

What will you be doing?

Financial and management accounts

• Preparation of monthly accrued income reports (Time & Materials, Fixed Price and Fees at Risk)

• Reviewing time and expenses checks and posting into the accounting system

• Preparation of monthly payroll journals for upload into the accounting system

• Preparation of accruals, prepayments and depreciation

• Preparation of UK VAT reconciliations & returns

• Assist with preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including sales and purchase ledgers

• Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly corporate budget summaries

Statutory & tax

• Assist in preparation of UK corporate entity quarterly / annual accounts

• Preparation of monthly PSA calculation

• Assist with preparation of annual audit file

• Office for National Statistics / QA reporting

Other

• Preparation of monthly cash flow forecast

• Reviewing payment runs and checking all details are correct.

• To be able to work as part of a team ensuring that the monthly processes are kept to target and relaying any information to relevant members of the accounts team ensuring accurate end of month figures.

• Contributes to the review of policies, processes and procedures to identify weaknesses and implement controls

• Maintain and update own knowledge of reporting and tax issues, keeping abreast of changes in legislation and practice, ensuring that knowledge is shared and acted upon as appropriate

Education & Professional Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Good computer skills especially Excel and an accounting package

• Knowledge of Access Dimensions & Concur systems an advantage

General

• Attention to detail is vital

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels (written and verbal)

• Experience in working in a professional services organisation is preferable
