As Lead Cloud Architecture Consultant, you will future-proof our client’s businesses by leading the technical design of their future cloud infrastructure.

For example, you will:

  • Assess the current state of a client’s architecture
  • Help clients identify and position themselves to capture the value posed by key technical trends affecting their future business
  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team to design a client’s future (cloud) architecture in support of its future business needs and opportunities
  • Advise clients on the optimal implementation strategy and roadmaps

You work in close cooperation with clients’ top management and colleagues at VIQTOR DAVIS and BLOOM, in project teams combining in-depth technical expertise with high-level strategic understanding. You will help both scale-ups and industry leaders define and realise their digital and data ambitions, in projects that start with high-level strategic discussions—but going all the way down to in-depth technical roadmapping. As the technical project lead, you will manage and coordinate the involvement of domain experts in VIQTOR DAVIS’ other business units related to data integration and governance, MDM, analytics, and data science—while constantly prioritising and (re)aligning based on evolving clients needs.

You are an ideal candidate if you have 5-7 years of working experience in (technical) consulting with a focus on enterprise or cloud architecture, or have similar experience in a technical (top) management role in industry. You have intimate knowledge of modern architecture patterns (e.g. event-driven architectures, microservices, reactive architectures), and several years of architectural experience in a public cloud environment (either AWS, Azure, GCP, or IBM Cloud—multiple is a plus). You have in-depth knowledge of the (dis)advantages of the various cloud migration strategies (e.g. rehosting, replatforming, repurchasing, re-architecting, retiring, retaining) and associated technical and organisational requirements and timelines. Although not in-depth, you have some working knowledge—sufficient to coordinate the contributions of in-house experts—of the various PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS solutions that find common use in modern data stacks, relating to aspects such as data quality, governance, information security, master data management, distributed (batch/streaming) data processing, data warehousing. You have some international experience and are fluent in Dutch and English.

The remuneration consists of a competitive salary. Since we encourage entrepreneurship, you will receive a significant bonus depending on BLOOM’s results. Delicious lunch, a top-end MacBook, travel allowance, and a pension scheme are also included. In your first year you will complete the BLOOM academy, with numerous internal and external trainings. Also, you will get continuous coaching and set and evaluate personal quarterly development goals. We have frequent team activities and a yearly trip abroad. We also highly value our personal time: 30 vacation days per year and ample working flexibility.
