About Us

At DeepMind we've built a unique culture and work environment where long-term ambitious research can flourish. Our special interdisciplinary team combines the best techniques from deep learning, reinforcement learning and systems neuroscience to build general-purpose learning algorithms. We have already made a number of high profile breakthroughs towards building artificial general intelligence and we have all the ingredients in place to make further significant progress over the coming years.

Snapshot

The Research Platform team's objective is "Effortless artificial general intelligence Research". We are a core group of 45 SWEs within DeepMind Research who work to provide a best-in-class research workflow. We build tools, infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, services, and products to enable and accelerate the next generation of research ideas.

The Role

Front-end (or full stack) Software Engineering interns work alongside full-time software engineers to build elegant, scalable, performant web front-ends and full stack applications that help enable AI research at scale. The DeepMind Research Platform Team builds internal tools that empower researchers to experiment and prototype effortlessly, organise & interpret experiment outputs with ease, and collaborate on research at scale. As a front-end or full stack intern on this team you may build new user-facing features, work with UX designers, assist with user research, and ship production systems to our research team.

Machine learning experience is not required for this role; many projects on this team do not involve machine learning.
