Would you like to be a part of a passionate global team that takes pride in delivering high-level, international trade events for TomTom? Are you passionate about technology generally and want to help us shape the future of driving as well as elaborate the definition of smart cities?

This event marketing internship will give you the opportunity to experience working for a fast-moving multinational company and allows you to contribute to the execution of our product strategy and marketing plans. You will have the chance to develop considerable understanding of the IT industry, and work and learn from a team of dedicated professionals with extensive backgrounds in the high-tech and navigation, automotive and location technology sectors. By supporting the “MKT-Events” department, you will be able to experience various marketing roles across different business sectors within TomTom, overlooking virtually all B2B and B2C events as well as internal events.

Are you ready to accept the challenge?

Assist the Events Manager in the organisation and execution of major international trade shows and conferences, e.g. Consumer Electronics Show, ITS World Congress, IFA Berlin, TechCrunch Disrupt etc. Coordinate, in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, the creation and roll-out of marketing material, e.g. marketing demos, digital and print visuals, etc. Support the event marketing team in day-to-day activities – internal events coordination, internal communication, etc.

What you will need

  • University / business school student in the last two years of studies;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English;
  • Excellent time-management skills;
  • Proven interest in technology, innovation and the navigation industry;
  • Proactive, hands-on, problem-solving attitude;
  • Able to work autonomously and as a global team player.
  • Please only apply if you are an EU citizen/ or enrolled in a Dutch university due to work permit regulations;

You should be enrolled as a full-time student for the complete duration of the internship.

What you can expect from us

  • An adventure in the cutting-edge field of digital mapping, traffic and navigation solutions, consumer electronics;

  • A challenging and rewarding hands-on experience as part of the event marketing team;
  • 500 Euros (Gross based on full-time work);
  • A 6 months’ internship contract;
  • Amsterdam. A pretty cool city to live and work. Lots of inspiration and when it’s sunny, the whole city comes alive!
