As a Social Editorial Intern, you will learn and support the basics of creation of social stories for global audiences, how the team guides on strategy using data, research and insight, and works with the Vogue International editorial team based out of London. You will get a chance to work on our flagship Instagram and Snapchat Discover channels, and our story packages for global teams. During your time with us, you'll have opportunities to see how we distribute content across multiple social platforms.

You will work with the Social Strategy & Storytelling Team on content coordination and production, data insights gathering, research and post performance reporting.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about social media and Vogue, driven by developments in visual storytelling. You are mobile-digital-native, and keen to gain experience on working with a growing team on multi-platform content to enable growth of one of the world’s best loved brands.

Vertical video content is central to this role, so video editing experience is a plus.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research, account sourcing, fact-checking and proof-reading
  • Planning, creating and producing visual stories for social channels: storyboarding, video shooting, editing, caption writing, formatting and uploading content, sharing using distribution platforms
  • Note-taking in meetings and assisting the social production team with administration
  • Coordinating and communicating story plans with internal teams
  • Tracking and analysing metrics on performance of social content
  • ideation for new story packages and community experiences
  • Preparing and delivering presentations and proposals for internal and external audiences at Vogue and Conde Nast
  • Assisting and supporting the social production and editorial teams

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Ideal candidate is upbeat, brings positive vibes to all tasks and is a curious person, open to learning and opportunities
  • Language skills are a bonus: relevant languages include Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Mandarin and Japanese.
  • Ideal candidate is currently studying or recently gained a diploma or degree in journalism studies and has a good understanding and knowledge of media law
  • Proficient with native platform insights and third-party tools for social media
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, able to pivot quickly to new tasks
  • A self-starter—you can work without direction and use initiative to solve problems
  • Spreadsheet skills to envy
  • Good time-management and prioritisation skills
  • Highly organised and proficient in task-management, asset-management and workflow tools + quick to create new streamlined workflows
  • Expert at Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat—from content creation to posting and insights as well as knowledge of online communities and visual storytelling
  • A passion for Vogue, fashion and photography, familiar with Vogue international presence on social channels
  • Strong presentation skills, both in person and referring to design skills
  • Strong visual eye and attention to detail in all tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
