British Vogue is looking for an ambitious, highly motivated and energetic fashion features intern to join its editorial team.

The successful candidate will have experience – work shadowing or another internship – of working in an editorial fashion department as a fashion or editorial assistant or in an office coordinator role.

He/she will support the British Vogue fashion features team with a range of tasks, including call-ins and returns, building product galleries for the Vogue.co.uk website, product and picture research, story research, transcription and general administration. The role calls for an individual with first-class organisational skills, great attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Experience of working within a CMS will also be a distinct advantage. He/she will be a fashion obsessive, will already have a thorough knowledge of brands, designers and current trends, and will grab the opportunity to work with, and learn from, the best in the business at the world’s biggest fashion title.

Please note that this a 6 month Internship paid at National Minimum Wage.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • To assist the Shopping Editor on researching product
  • To call in ready-to-wear and accessories samples for front of book stories
  • To assist in creating mood boards to be signed off by the Editor-in-Chief
  • To help manage and track advertiser credits with the Shopping Editor, Fashion Market Director and commercial team
  • To liaise with pack-shot still-life photographers and co-ordinate product logistics
  • To conduct picture research – including catwalk and backstage, using Vogue databases, archive and picture agencies
  • To undertake editorial research, including sourcing cuts for stories and interviewees
  • To contribute online galleries to Vogue.co.uk.
