Demand for Omnia Retail’s software is growing quickly throughout Europe. After successful launches with most of the large retailers in The Netherlands, and with the support of a significant funding round, Omnia is ready to expand beyond our country’s borders and grow internationally. To support this growth, our Finance Director Sjoerd Prins is looking to expand the Finance team with a Finance Officer, to take our financial administration to the next level. 

What are we facing? 

As a Finance officer you will play a key role in our Finance department. You will be responsible for the financial administration of Omnia including P&L, balance sheet, cash and all associated processes. Your primary responsibility is to make sure the entire financial administration is flawless. In addition to that, you will support the Finance Director in various strategically important projects. 

What it comes down to: 

You are inquisitive by nature and therefore will look  for ways to automate processes where possible. With constant awareness of the company’s financial position, you will prepare Omnia for further growth. You will have a key role in the due diligence process at Omnia Retail and you are responsible for the entire accounting and reporting processes. This means that you:

  • Are responsible for all bookkeeping activities
  • Ensure the execution of the daily transactions are done accordingly
  • Ensure statutory requirements are met
  • Complete VAT and other filings
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance
  • Reconcile bank and investment accounts
  • Support the cash flow management and credit control activities
  • Prepare supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and external auditors 
  • Continuously define process updates to ensure the finance team becomes more efficient and adds value to the entire organization

Additionally, a considerable amount of your time will be spent on projects to support Omnia’s growth. Over the coming period, you will be working on:

  • Selection and implementation of new reporting and invoicing tools
  • Potential ERP implementation
  • Setup of financial administration for international expansion 
  • Closing of dormant entities

Various other exciting projects to support the Finance Director on topics like pricing, margin improvement, liquidity planning and the budget & forecasting process

What are we looking for

You are a team player with a high level of responsibility. A fast-paced and changing environment is the setting you thrive in and you don’t shy away from a challenge. You are hands on and don’t mind the occasional grunt work. You are ambitious and get excited about developing in your role in line with the company. And last but not least, you like to have some fun throughout the process! 

Apart from that you:

  • Have a master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • Have three years of relevant experience
  • Are an Excel wizard
  • Are fluent in English and Dutch
