We're currently looking for a Head Chef who will assist the Catering Manager in the kitchen operation and ensure the company’s reputation for food quality is maintained always. 

  • Look at the development and planning of menus, including future food trends
  • Develop new styles of service and concepts in the location
  • Compile all food orders, ensuring food standards and cost are agreed with the Catering Manager
  • Ensure stock, deliveries and wastage are all checked and recorded in line with company and food standards.
  • Plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by the company and the client.
  • To maintain records relating to food production activities and supplier information as required by the Catering Manager.
  • To ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are maintained in line with company policy.
  • To set objectives and be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen
  • To assess employee performance and recognise training needs and potential as appropriate.

Your focus and desire is to work with the freshest and best ingredients. Food’s provenance is critical to you and the closer to your kitchen, the better. You understand that being a great chef is not just about cooking but the ability to work with a team, manage costs, negotiate and build relationship with suppliers as well as being compliant, from both a Food Hygiene and Food safety perspective. You will possess basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate and have strong Supervisory experience within an Kitchen environment.
