The Role

Extra Care schemes provide high quality accommodation and care for older people. With a 24-hour on-site care team, residents receive personal care tailored to their needs in an extremely warm and welcoming environment.

As a Care & Support Worker, you will:

  • Maximise independence of people requiring support, enabling real choices in how they lead their life.
  • Assist with personal care, administer medication and undertake domestic chores as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of support provided, maintaining risk assessment and support plans to be able to respond to emergencies should they arise.

About You

Our ideal candidate will possess a passion for working in the care sector and will appreciate the importance of providing care for older vulnerable adults. We are looking for a Care and Support Workers who goes that extra mile whilst working as part of a team. In order to deliver service excellence, you must demonstrate empathy, patience, humour and a ‘can do’ attitude. 

As a Care & Support Worker, you will:

  • Be willing to provide personal care to males and females.
  • Have experience of working with elderly people (desirable although training will be given).
  • Be able to work a flexible shift pattern which will include some evening, weekend and bank holiday work.
  • Hold a current NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent (desirable, although training will be given).
  • Support customers outside the home as and when required.
  • Be confident, reliable and interested in supporting people to live independently
  • Be passionate, warm, motivated and a good team player.
  • Hold a valid driving licence is desirable for this position
