The Findest team delivers a technology scouting service where the Findest technology scouts use IGOR^AI to find technologies to solve R&D-challenges. This helps the client increase innovation speed, reduce searching time, and find all technology solutions. In the Netherlands, Findest has over 50 customers, and Findest is growing internationally

"Scaling up", "hacking growth", and "international expansion". That is what's next for Findest. After the startup phase, Findest is now entering the game of growth. After launching the technology scouting service in the Netherlands in January 2017, Findest is now working with the leading innovators in the Netherlands to find technologies that will help them implement innovations.

International expansion is next on the agenda. After intensively studying the most innovative countries in the world, we selected the countries that best fit the characteristics of the ideal growth markets.

As Account Executive you will be an essential part of the sales and business development team. Currently Findest has five junior business developers, who interest companies to see IGOR^AI at work. Currently founder Vincent Franken works as Account Executive, and travels to most meetings. You will join the team as additional Account Executive. You will be travelling to customers to discuss their research & development processes, and together discuss how IGOR^AI and the Findest technology scouts can accelerate the process to find technologies.

Together with your junior business development colleagues you will form a new team with an industrial and geographic focus on a specific market. From the home base in Amsterdam you will work both in the Dutch home base, as well as internationally.

The job of an Account Executive:

  • Get introduced to interested companies by junior business developers
  • Schedule a discovery call to discuss R&D and technology scouting at company
  • Diagnose if the Findest service might apply, and show IGOR^AI at work
  • Share valuable insights on artificial intelligence and technology scouting
  • Use video and internet to share story with client-teams and online
  • Understand the clients purchasing process and assists the client through the selection process
  • Assists the customers through the buying process by providing valuable insights, this may include onsite support to perform demonstrations, and discuss technology challenges
  • Processes supplier registration, proposal signing and PO-creation
  • Schedule onboarding and intake to transfer the client to the technology scouts
  • During the entire process, the AE is accountable for the contract value, win ratio, sales cycle, contract terms, and payment terms
  • Create a top-50 target list for the region and share it with the junior business developers
  • Implement important triggers; health alert, upsell alert, cross sell alert, renewal alert, and many more
  • Works with the client on adoption of technology scouting methodology across different teams and across the company

Job requirements

  • You have a basic understanding of natural sciences so you understand the questions and cases at Findest customers (Physics, chemistry, biotechnology, engineering, technology management or another related technical study).
  • You are genuinely curious about new technology and product innovation in a broad range of applications.
  • You have a proven track-record of selling and want to be in the top 1% of sales professionals
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
