Do you have an understanding of mental health issues or experience of working in mental health? Would you like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with? Then join us as a recovery worker.

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for recovery workers to join the team at their crisis service in Cannock. The service provides accommodation for a short period of a six day placement for those with mild to medium mental health problems, who are experiencing a mental health crisis which requires a safe and supportive place to stay to avoid admission to hospital or A&E.

Day-to-day, you’ll support individuals to develop emotional management and personal life skills to achieve greater independence and self-esteem. And, when it comes to liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies to give people access to a full range of services, again, we’ll rely on your expertise.

A great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload, you love motivating and engaging people in a range of developmental and rehabilitative activities. What’s more, you have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people. You will also need to be willing to participate in a 24/7 rota that includes waking nights.

The salary for this post is £16,693.00 per annum.

Subsequent salary progression up to a maximum of £17,230.00 will apply to this post, subject to the postholder meeting the eligibility and performance criteria.
