We are looking for an:

Editorial Product Manager

Our common domain, responsible within the Sanoma Learning Technology Department for the delivery of the editorial components, is looking for an Editorial Product Manager. Key-users of our editorial tooling are authors and content editors who are creating content for folio and digital products we distribute to the classrooms European wide. As Editorial Product Manager you work closely with the European Chief Product Officer and the five local Product Managers in creating the overall vision for the editorial domain and the editorial tooling involved. You serve as an intermediate in communicating and safeguarding the editorial vision to the local Product Managers and the DevOps teams.

Job description

  • Responsible for the end-to-end success of the editorial domain within the five Sanoma Learning companies.
  • Contribute to the vision and strategic objectives for the editorial domain.
  • Support the European Chief Product Officer and the local Product Managers in being able to communicate and share the vision.
  • Create an effective and good collaborating Editorial Product Management team for managing the funneling and prioritization of epics on the European backlog.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for the local Product Managers regarding their local needs and development.
  • Provide insights to the Chief Product Officer and the local Product Managers about the benefits to be gained and the value to be created within the scope of future product releases.
  • Measure the benefit hypothesis of the products delivered and report the outcomes / conclusions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the SAFe and Agile way-of-working within the portfolio layer of the editorial domain and within the Editorial Product Management team.

You will mainly work at Sanoma Learning’s headquarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch but you are willing to travel to the operating companies when required. You directly report to the Digital Lead Common.

Profile

  • Independent thinker, strong influencer and dares to challenge the status quo.
  • Result oriented, excellent collaborator and highly organization sensitive.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the editorial domain and having a good market focus based on gained professional expertises.
  • Able to operate as a strong sparring partner for stakeholders within the editorial domain.
  • Proven prioritizing skills within complex international business environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
  • Having good project management skills is a pre.
