The role:

We’re expanding out application support function here at Runpath and we’re looking for an experienced application support team lead to take over the newly established team. The role will be office based and will focus on ensuring the smooth running of the team, attending meetings with other teams (e.g. daily SCRUM meetings), dealing with escalations and taking ownership of issues through to resolution. The team lead will also help with the study of the logging and alerting processes and work on continued service improvement for a more mature incident alerting and management process.

The team lead will also be competent in technical interrogation of data using SQL queries and have a good understanding of Azure hosting and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Organising operational support of our hosted deployments
  • Be available from time to time to deal with escalations and out of hours support.
  • Dial into client calls as needed
  • Assist with monitoring and enhancing of email alerts
  • Assist with problem diagnoses by investigating Application logs & Dashboards within Azure
  • Supporting releases by assisting where necessary and investigating and providing more complicated test proofs
  • Extending documentation: process, troubleshooting, including input into incident reports
  • Management of relationships with both 3rd party suppliers and wider group organisations involved in support processes
  • Join project and development meetings to assist with scoping and resource planning

Core Skills & Competencies:

  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planner and scheduler
  • High traffic and/or performance intensive infrastructure support
  • Strong understanding of the solutions environment.
  • Azure / .NET Ecosystem
  • In depth troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of Azure Application Insights and how to manipulate monitors
  • Strong SQL query writing skills

  • Someone who loves getting things done
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and prioritise appropriately
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate, both written and verbal, with technical and business stakeholders appropriately
  • Experience with working with a team that is partly based outside the UK
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional at collaborating with both technical and non-technical people
  • Highly organised with a strong eye for detail
  • Good with feedback, continually looking to improve and develop
