Ashfield Healthcare have an exciting opportunity and are currently recruiting for an experienced Nurse to work within various MS centres in the NHS with small numbers of patient to deliver a bespoke patient care service. This service involves providing IV infusions to patients with Relapsing Remitting MS.

This is a great role for a Nurse looking for a dynamic and syndicated approach to work with various pharmaceutical companies sponsored projects; this is only one of the projects the successful candidate will be working on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and inducting patients to be infused
  • Complete pre infusion checks and deliver pre infusion medication
  • To fully document all patient interactions in accordance with Company policies and procedures which will includes hospital specific documentation
  • To be able to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Work across MS centres to support colleagues for A/L or sickness and where necessary stay overnight
  • To comply with the Adverse Event procedures of Ashfield Health Care and the client companies in respect of all matters relating to Pharmacovigilance
  • To communicate with and develop relationships with key nursing staff and medical staff at all organisations for the delivery of the service
  • Attend national nurse team meetings and project training as required
  • Complete all necessary administration in a timely and accurate manner, particularly in relation to activity reporting, information feedback and expenses
  • Undertake other tasks and assignments which may be required by the Nurse Manager or Company as discussed and agreed

Essential Skills

  • IV Skills, infusion and cannulation
  • Active NMC registration
  • Minimum of two years post registration experience
  • RCN member (or equivalent)
  • Experience in working with MS patients is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work flexibly
