Ashfield is currently recruiting and experienced sales manager on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will work directly on our client’s headcount and will provide close coaching and support to a team of Oncology Key Account Managers across the North of the UK. Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure sales targets, market share and other key performance indicators are achieved at a regional level, contributing to national targets.

• To ensure maximum leverage is achieved from available budget provided by Sales Leader and that expenditure is kept within set limits

• To effectively lead the different KAM teams by providing direction and close coaching support in field; and being able to energise the team towards a vision and achievement of set objectives.

• To competently conduct line management responsibilities, including selecting, developing and performance appraising/managing direct reports in a timely manner.

• To build, develop and execute local KOL/KEE partnership plans, both clinical and payer, in an aligned manner across the Business Unit.

• To collaborate closely in the development and implementation of the marketing strategies and sales force effectiveness initiatives. Ensure robust local implementation plans in place to deliver agreed marketing activity.

• To produce regular and comprehensive reports with respect to sales performance for Oncology Sales Leader and Oncology Leadership Team.

Essential Skills:

• Pharma sector experience with strong customer focus.

• Experience in Oncology is strongly preferred, in particular solid tumour and haematology.

• Proven people management experience, including KAMs.

• Degree or equivalent qualification, in a life science or business category

• Strong management skills, able to resonate with people and gain followership due to the manner in which they are role models in the organisation

• Persuasive communicator

• High Emotional Intelligence and awareness

• Demonstrated ability to determine and integrate external and internal information into strategic recommendations

• Strong team player who proactively looks to share at peer level

• High level of personal accountability - highly results focused/action oriented/achiever

• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills

• Broad business acumen

• Courage to speak with confidence when advising on business critical decisions

• Ability to initiate, cope with and manage change for self and others in the team

• Proven project management capabilities

• Computer/database literate including core MS Office applications

• Experience in delivering results and able to get others passionate behind a vision

• Proven compliance expertise; to understand and comply with industry laws and relevant regulations.

• Coaching and collaboration skills to interact with all levels of personnel to achieve shared goals.

• Demonstrable examples of ability to develop, coach and enable high performance teams and proactively promote best practice and knowledge sharing.

• Fluent in written and verbal business English
