Qualifications, experience and skills:

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Hold, have held or eligible to apply for UK based security clearance (UK residency)
  • Educated to degree level within an engineering, law or business related field or equivalent experience
  • Reasonable time spent as a postgraduate with experience in Project Management in a deliver or consultancy based environment with a range of project and client facing experience.
  • Post Graduate qualification (MBA, Masters or PhD) preferred, but will consider valid experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Understanding of business practises and market trends.

Desirable

  • Membership of a suitable professional body eg. APM, or PMI
  • Project Management qualification eg. PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile Project Management Practitioner, APM Registered Project Professional

Experience and Skills:

  • Able to successfully manage time, plans and workload to achieve agreed tasks in a timely way.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills, with good attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a wider team on a number of concurrent projects as required.
  • Ability to comfortably and effectively liaise with clients
  • Confidence to deal with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Able to integrate and balance big-picture concerns and issues with day-to-day activities and tasks.
  • Familiarity of the issues/problems facing public sector organisations
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

The nature of the role will require flexibility and willingness to respond to changes dictated by the nature of the projects covered, the geographical location and fast-paced environment.

The role will require supporting a wide spectrum of projects and programmes with management consultancy input.
