DESCRIPTION

Your role

You will work in a small team on the front line of our business. Known as “Food Gurus” to our customers, you will be nurturing customers to first order, supporting our long-standing customers to find the right solutions for their needs and also running experiments with customer segments to better understand what drives growth. It is a fast-paced role where you will quickly build relationships and educate customers about our product so they can get the most out of it.

You’ll join a recently formed team with the opportunity to shape the way that City Pantry scales an important part of our customer experience. You will learn about the whole sales process from lead-sourcing to post-sales services with targets, KPIs and bonuses to reward performance. We see the Food Gurus as a key pillar of our strategy here at City Pantry.

Whether you are making outbound calls to new clients, managing a pipeline of contacts and inbound leads, or successfully closing orders you will play a pivotal role for driving growth for City Pantry.

Working with us in the Marketplace team, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with existing customers to retain and upsell them
  • Master the top of the sales funnel, personally owning all interactions with new & potential marketplace customers
  • Convert new inbound leads to first order
  • Identify high value customers to be passed onto the sales team for upsell
  • Provide an amazing experience for our customers who need help finding food by:
  • Planning and advising customers on high value events
  • Offering suggestions when they struggle to choose
  • Educating customers to become more self sufficient on the platform
  • Track customer interactions in CRM to enable future growth
  • Onboard new customers to City Pantry
  • Run experiments with groups of customers to help better understand what drives growth

REQUIREMENTS

We do what we say we will. Here’s what we’ll need from you:

  • Prior experience in a customer facing role
  • Love speaking to people every day, both on the phone, face to face and email
  • High emotional EQ and naturally a people person
  • A drive for hitting targets - experience in sales or recruitment will be an advantage
  • Hunger to learn about the business from the inside out
  • Love being busy and effective at prioritising. Things move fast here at City Pantry - we get stuff done, consistently - so you’ll need to work hard in the smartest way possible
