The MR PORTER team are now seeking a talented Global Head of Client Relations to join the team based in our offices in Shepherds Bush, West London. Reporting into the Global Director, VIP Client Relations you will be tasked with optimising localised opportunities and leveraging relationships with existing and potential EIPs (Extremely Important peope and Style Council members, driving incremental revenue with current customers and acquiring new business for MR PORTER.

You Will:

  • Define and implement the Client Relations strategy for MR PORTER with a view to accelerate recruitment of high potential prospects and increase retention of existing VIP customers
  • Evolve a network of key client ambassadors and influencers to partner with on a series of small scale, personal and intimate shopping events and activities that focus on quality leads over quantity
  • Develop supporting collateral and a follow-up customer journey to raise awareness of the brand and the service with potential leads, and support subsequent follow-up through the Personal Shopping teams
  • Establish successful approaches to closing sales opportunities at events in different markets
  • Assess the potential for true EIP acquisition in the promotions and partnerships presented by brand marketing and PR
  • Seek CR activity sponsorship opportunities form brand aligned potential partners
  • Monitor migration of acquisitions working with the Personal Shoppers to ensure we are maintaining leads engaged with product and service
  • Ensure synergies with our sister brand NET-A-PORTER are maximized wherever appropriate, working closely with NET-A-PORTER Heads of Client Relations.
  • Build a relationship and dialogue with Style Council members to ensure that they see the advantages of the Style Council and feel part of the MR PORTER family/club
  • Integrating Style Council into the Client Relations strategy, to create opportunities an synergy.
  • To grow the Style Council membership through the recruitment of new members through networking and existing member recommendation; thus increasing the reach and influence of SC
  • To ensure member biography’s, destination choices and product recommendations are fresh and up to date; ensuring all content is accurate and on brand
  • To bring together Style Council members in relevant cities for appropriate MR PORTER events and dinners; to cross pollinate the Style Council
  • To partner with the Publishing teams to support current and potential sponsors of Style Council, ensuring the smooth integration of requirements and obligations

You Have:

  • An extraordinary contacts book with access to influential people and places, primarily in the US and UK
  • A strong sales background and deep understanding of the luxury menswear customer
  • Experience of working within an Ecommerce environment within a customer related position is a plus
  • Strong experience in customer retention and loyalty and how this can be delivered through an amazing customer experience
  • Strong commercial acumen and confident analytical skills
  • Confident in working with a global activity calendar and delivering against objectives and deadlines
  • A creative thinker and ideas generator to understand how MR PORTER can improve its off-line experience to our customer and be a market leader
  • Constantly seeks to improve ways of working, processes and tools
  • A strong people manager and leader. Ability to oversee a global team of Client Relations Executives
  • Expert knowledge of the latest, and soon-to-open, bars, restaurants, member’s clubs and social hubs across the globe and to build relationships with those who manage them
  • A sense of humour and a passion for the MR PORTER customer and brand
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
  • Solutions focused and able to respond quickly and effectively to problems
  • Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
  • Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative
  • Confident to build relationships throughout the business
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Pro-active and able push forward initiative/ideas to constantly promote the MR PORTER service and increase engagement and ROI on Client Relations activities
