Department Overview

The role works within the Product Delivery section of the Motorola ESN Mobilisation programme. The Mobilisation phase builds the systems and services required for ESN, integrates the systems and services and then prepares the systems and services for operational management.

Job Description

This role is an 18 month fixed term contract 'employed'.

The role is responsible for the successful end to end delivery of the BSS part of the ESN programme, to include:

a) Management of requirements and any Change requests with HO and Ericsson

b) delivery of the BSS Solution from Ericsson to required quality, time and budget

c) integration of the BSS solution with other parts of the ESN solution including EE

d) formal testing of the BSS solution with the Home Office against requirements

e) management of Service Design plan, monitoring the delivery of all service management processes and procedures

f) collaboration with Service Transition to ensure all service readiness activities are tracked and completed

g) ensuring successful migration and service cut-over

h) handover of the BSS solution to Service Operations

In addition to the core competencies of project management, The product manager requires:

- Identification, tracking and maintenance of RAID items, particularly dependencies between each of the teams responsible for delivery of the BSS solution

- Regular communications with the key project managers and the Authority to ensure full alignment between all parties

- Regular review and input to the Delivery Plan for BSS

During the ongoing role there will be a necessity to participate fully in:

- Change Management. Specifically the assessment and management of change associated to this project

- Represent Motorola as a product manager, attending workshops, planning sessions and governance sessions as required

Basic Requirements

Experience and proven track record of:

Product Management in the Telecom space, and in particular some technical exposure to BSS Systems working in a high pressure programme environment

Influencing stakeholders at all levels

Managing deliveries with complex dependencies

Managing sub-supplier deliveries

Managing a cut-over of a service
