This role is an exciting opportunity to join Celotex on a permanent basis as a Quality Control Engineer in Hadleigh, Suffolk. So who are we? Good question! Weekly rotating shifts:

  • Monday – Thursday - 06:00am - 14:00pm
  • Friday - 06:00am - 13:00pm
  • Monday - Thursday - 13:45pm -21:45pm
  • Friday - 12:45pm - 19:45pm

You will have:

As a Quality Control Engineer you will:

  • Have the ability to plan and have full prioritisation of QC activities and workload.
  • Collation and analysis of Quality Control data in order to identify, communicate and act on trend information. Responsible for QC visual management, reporting and Quality data flow.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving processes in order to investigate and identify root cause in production issues, non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Lead improvement projects by undertaking specific project actions, or contributing knowledge and information.
  • Authoring & Ownership of QC procedures, methods and system documentation, including pFMEAs and Control Plans.
  • Leading Quality Control audits.
  • The QC Engineer is able to proactively and effectively communicate with all levels of staff in Operations and R&D.
  • This includes routine hand over, data reporting and visual management between QC staff, production shifts and ensuring that both QC and Operations Management are kept informed of all developing situations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience for a Quality Control Engineer:

You will have the main core skills: Cultivate Customer Intimacy, Act as an Entrepreneur, Innovate, Be Agile and Build an Open Engaging Culture on a daily basis.

  • Qualified to a minimum degree level in a scientific or technical discipline, or equivalent academic and professional experience.
  • Demonstrable good working knowledge of Quality Control tools, principles and behaviours within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable good working knowledge of Lean, Operational Excellence and Production System tools, principles and behaviours within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proactive time management.
  • Risk-based prioritisation/decision making ability.
  • Mature and proactive communication skills.
  • Ability to function well as part of a QC team, and wider cross-functional teams.
