The successful candidate will take a leading global role in supporting Fujitsu’s growth across the Manufacturing (including Automotive) Industry sector.

As the head of Manufacturing (including Automotive) Offerings Marketing your key priority is to deliver a forward thinking top level positioning of the sector in the market and lead the design, development and implementation of a globally consistent messaging and content creation for your industry sector.

You’ll be expected to work collaboratively with, as well as positively influence, a variety of senior stakeholders (internal and external) across the international regions to ensure that Marketing is seen and regarded as a valued contributor. The biggest responsibility will be to bridge between the requirements from the field and the Business Units offerings scope developing targeted challenger selling lead campaigns.

As an existing Senior Marketer you’ll have a strong appreciation of many marketing disciplines, clear business acumen and intimate knowledge of technology market. You’ll also possess a deep insight and passion for how Fujitsu can support our customers’ digital transformation journeys. You will be comfortable working in a demanding fast paced environment and enthusiastically embrace new thinking and new challenges. Your astounding leadership qualities will be invaluable for providing clarity and direction to globally based marketing teams and resources.

Key Accountabilities

• Globally lead the development and execution of the industry marketing positioning and messaging for one of Fujitsu’s strategic industry sectors – Manufacturing (including Automotive) - and aligning with the corporate strategy of focusing on a fewer number of customers.

• Closely work with Marketers across Fujitsu´s regions to ensure effective planning and execution of the Manufacturing (including Automotive) industry sector marketing strategy.

• Act as an “industry champion” providing sector insights, challenges and buyer trends to external and internal stakeholders to influence thinking, planning and desired outcomes.

• Engage frequently with and represent the ‘voice of the customer’ to internal stakeholders.

• Lead the cross functional, cross regional industry community in continuing to run the regular calls and Manufacturing Industry Knowledge Hub (IKH) platform

• Ensure the achievement of annual KPIs (see below) aligned to industry marketing activities.

• Lead the interface into the regional industry sector sales teams and wider Marketing function stakeholders across EMEIA, FAI and more Regional teams

Liase with the Japan Industry marketing and Business Units colleagues

• Build and maintain a deep understanding and insight of industry sector technology and business challenges and the implications for Fujitsu.

• Embrace the Challenger Sales methodology and align marketing/messaging strategy to drive traction with target customers/prospects.

• Embrace the principles of Account Based and Deal Based Marketing to effectively position Fujitsu brand and services in live customer/prospect bids

• In-depth competitor analysis to inform industry marketing planning and strategy.

• Manage annual marketing budget and maintain strict fiscal discipline.

• Embrace creativity, be comfortable in thinking differently and contesting the ‘status quo’ with customers and internal stakeholders. Be an agent of change!

• On-going analysis of marketing effectiveness to ensure maximum return on investment.

• Work closely with other Fujitsu Marketing functions to support the development and execution of the industry marketing plan including Brand, Marketing Communications, Offerings Marketing for Services and Marketing Operations.

• Continuously improve marketing efficiency by maximising the use of shared assets and synergies of all kinds.
