The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will manage and lead the team responsible for ensuring the wind farm meets its availability and production targets. Liaising with internal and external key stake holders, you'll facilitate a safe system of work for staff and contractors by carrying out inductions, reviewing risk assessments and method statements. You'll also be accountable for visiting working parties out on site and engaging with them positively around safety.

A large part of this role will involve ensuring maintenance routines are carried out on time and to the required standard, as well as providing emergency response by reacting to incidents, carrying out investigations and sharing the learnings across the business.

You'll be working across wind farms in the Ayrshire hub, as well as various other locations throughout the south to support our business needs when required. It will involve extensive travel and periods staying away from home, therefore, a flexible approach to working hours is essential. You'll also need a full, valid driving license.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role you will be educated to a minimum of ONC / SNVQ III or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have previous experience of working on electro-mechanical systems such as rotating machines, gearboxes, switch gear and control systems. Ideally you will have the ability to read and follow engineering drawings, single line diagrams and schematics, however training will be provided if required. You should have a high regard for health and safety.

Strong organisational and communication skills are essential. It would be an advantage for you to have experience of working at height and experience of pressure systems and lifting equipment. You will be accountable for a small budget so a basic understanding of financial protocols would be beneficial. A driving licence is essential.

As you will be providing supervision to working parties, it is essential that you have supervisory experience from a fastmoving operational environment.

You will already be or willing to relocate within 45minutes travel distance to the site due to safety.
