Director of Revenue

The Grand is looking to recruit a forward thinking, analytical Director of Revenue to join our luxury 5* Hotel. Your role is pivotal in ensuring we exceed our revenue targets. Being a key part of the Splendid Family, all our team members need to be able to promise to:

Position Purpose

As Director of Revenue you will have ambition, talent and the key skills to succeed within this role. You will develop and implement the Revenue strategy for the Grand ensuring all its’ financial targets are consistently exceeded.

You will develop, facilitate, guide and direct all revenue generating departments to select and drive the optimum revenue opportunities for the hotel. You will measure total revenue performance against agreed strategy and adapt and re-align current strategy if required. Within this role, you will actively monitor the competitive environment and devise tactics and strategies to maximise market share.

Key Responsibilities

Able to influence, challenge and persuade all stakeholders by providing clarity on business, market and sector performance.

Be an expert on and utilise all relevant systems, tools and technology

Able to forecast effectively using all data. Take into account external factors, market conditions and sector trends. Spot issues and prevent the business from risk.

Have the ability to develop and execute a revenue plan that delivers commercial objectives through yielding effectively, understanding all channels and costs, has a “tactical tool kit”, for maximising room revenue and ensuring all systems and processes are fit for purpose.

Have strong overall commercial skills to “join the dots and tell the story” of the business.

Person Specification

Experience:

Must have experience in a similar position within Revenue or Yield Management and be able to demonstrate tangible results.

  • Advanced Excel
  • Managing a Yield system such as IDEAS
  • Effectively manage the Hotel’s distribution system

Exceptional Skills:

  • Knowledge of the UK Luxury Hotel Sector
  • Luxury London & International market
  • Excellent working knowledge of Synxis CR
