Vistra offers a unique trainee position for one Junior Legal Counsel which will start in September. Within 18 months you get the opportunity to grow into a more and more independent legal advising role.
You won’t start on your own, but with a trainee group, getting your first month full time training, focused on theoretical knowledge, practical courses, soft skill training and challenging business cases. You will learn various aspects of legal corporate trust services will be discussed, such as our approach and our clients. Not only your legal knowledge, but also your financial and tax knowledge will be expanded to prepare you for a successful career at Vistra.
After this first month you are ready for take off and you will start as a (junior) Legal Counsel at our Legal department, which consist of the Head of Legal and an experienced Legal Counsel. Within the team you will focus on corporate housekeeping, the development of in-house legal knowledge and supporting your colleagues in advising the management board on risk management, contract law and directors liability matters. As a Junior Legal Counsel you will be co-responsible for the compliance with applicable laws and regulations of our Dutch group structure. During your traineeship you will be provided several trainings and courses, like general corporate law, (international) contract law, directors liability and finance for lawyers.
Vistra's In-house Legal Department assists and advises the management board concerning risk management and directors liability matters.
As a (junior) Legal Counsel:
In all, you will be supervised by the Head of Legal and the Legal Counsel, the Chief Risk Officer and HR.
