As a Technical Project Manager - DC, you’ll be part of our technology team reporting to our Head of Product Management - Hardware. Your task will be managing product development projects related to EV charging stations and peripheral products and actively participating in these projects as a key member. Average development projects involve the development of integrated electronics products consisting of amongst others; electrical components, housings, user interfaces and firmware design. The full development cycle from project initiation to certification and transfer of the developed product to production are part of the activities of the Technical Project Manager - DC.

The position requires an intensive interaction with the EVBox customer base, Sales, Marketing and Operations as well as current and new suppliers and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Managing product development projects from initiation to launch, effectively playing an important part in technical content (including requirements management along with a system engineer)
  • Ensuring alignment of scope, timeline and budget with product management and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring timely delivery of design, specifications and documentation for certification.
  • Managing internal and external project resources at sub-contractors
  • Managing communication with suppliers and sub-contractors regarding new and future products
  • Keeping track of project timelines and budgets

REQUIREMENTS

  • MSc in engineering, preferably in the field of (power) electronics
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a mid-size or larger company on project management, product development management or product engineering with a commercial component in the B2B or B2B2C market.
  • Extensive commercial experience in project management mainly in the electronics domain
  • Experience in DC charging station development is a major plus
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Proper understanding of electronics and embedded firmware systems
  • Experience with electronic product certifications (EMC, safety, functional)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, experienced in dealing with various partners and suppliers on international playing field
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
