Executive Compensation is one of three lines of business within our Talent and Rewards divisions. Our global Executive Compensation Practice is well-known globally. We are often appointed by the remuneration committee to advise the company on executive pay. We work with large and small listed companies and also with companies that are privately held and may be seeking a listing.

The Role

  • You will be a member of the leadership team of Executive Compensation in Western Europe and will be expected to play a key role to both business development and sales as well as Practice development.
  • You will be responsible for winning and managing large, strategic client engagements and will serve as a key strategic advisor to clients on executive compensation.
  • You will be expected to be a deep expert in executive compensation but also to collaborate with colleagues across the Talent and Rewards division and indeed our Benefits and Risk and Financial Services segments – and to ensure that the services that clients receive are specialist but also set in the context of the businesses we are serving.

  • To develop statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple work streams and client teams and to act as an example to all colleagues

  • To build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • To deliver superior, consistent oversight of project teams
  • To demonstrate ability to mentor other consultants
  • To act as a role model to other consultants

The Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in consulting at the Board level
  • In-depth knowledge of tax, corporate finance, regulatory and accounting requirements in order to design executive
  • compensation plans including: annual, share-based and other long or short term incentive plans
  • In depth knowledge of incentive design and performance measures
  • Direct experience of special equity and incentive plans for situations such as: IPOs, LBOs, M&As, divestitures, recapitalisation and venture/entrepreneurial start-ups will be necessary
  • Presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills and ability to influence senior management and work across all levels of an organization
  • Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative skills and be willing to partner with others to realise the best results
  • Innovation; interested in exploring new approaches to improve results
  • Conceptual skills; ability to go beyond the details and see the big picture
  • A ‚results-driven’ bent; focused on achieving results that promote business success
