We’re looking for a talented, highly motivated sales professional, for a maternity cover role for 6 months, who will be responsible for driving Stryker’s ‘Patient Transport’ business in the East of England.

You will be working as part of a high calibre, performance driven sales team, who’s passion for improving outcomes help make the lives of patients and the people who care for them, better.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing an effective territory sales strategy to maintain existing business, as well as driving growth with new sales opportunities
  • Delivering annual sales targets as well as other key performance objectives
  • Building strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders in the NHS or private medical sector; these include Moving & Handling Advisors, Tissue Viability, Biomedical Engineers, Nursing staff as well as Procurement and Finance professionals
  • Conducting product demonstrations and training for clinical staff
  • Reporting on your sales activities on a regular basis
  • Attending and participating in key professional congresses and events
  • Maintaining and acquiring new product, technology, market knowledge

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree
  • Proven track record of success in sales within the NHS (desired) or in other industries
  • Experience in customer acquisition and proven ability to grow new business
  • Knowledge and experience in a commercial sales background, preferably capital sales
  • Relationship building skills, has to be a natural relationship builder
  • Knowledge of a CRM system
  • Computer skills, MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Presentation skills with modern presentation media
  • Knowledge of Manual Handling in the NHS (desirable)
  • Must live within the defined territory, this is a field-based sales role, therefore involves a significant amount of travel
