Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant– Paid School Experience

  • Spend the full year in one school – not day-to-day supply in different schools!
  • Popular secondary school – 11-16
  • Support the Maths Department
  • Located in Bury – excellent public transport links from Manchester, easily commutable
  • Be part of dedicated and passionate graduate support team
  • Gain valuable knowledge and techniques from outstanding teachers
  • Work with both small groups and individual students
  • Paid up to £350 per week, term time only until the end of the academic year
  • September start with interviews being organised on an ongoing basis
  • Support pupils from a range of backgrounds

About the Role – Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the vibrant Maths Department
  • Work with students who need extra sessions for catch up
  • Deliver booster sessions for High achievers
  • Work with the class teachers to deliver exciting and engaging lessons
  • Be patient and supportive of any issues or queries the pupils may have

To be successful you will need the following:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree (Maths) and strong A Levels
  • Experience working with young people, either voluntary or paid
  • Passionate and dedicated to a career in education
  • Flexible regarding which core subject department you are supporting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor your approach
  • Patience when dealing with challenging behaviour
