For our Stock Control team, within the Store Process Improvement department , we are hiring a professional with retail background and business transformation mindset, that will help us set best practices and innovative digital tools, through the processes and reporting activities, the team is responsible of.

The Stock Control analyst is an experienced and ambitious team player expert in excel. She/He has an eye for detail that can develop, improve and implement a strong and consistent global stock control management processes. The Stock control analyst is a specific affinity with logistics processes and data models.

Do you want to help the business understand where our processes on Stock management can improve? Do you want to make our customers happy by making sure their favourite items are always available at the stores? Can you build great collaboration and best practices across all countries and help prevent incidences?

What will you be doing in a daily basis?

The Store Process Improvement department is internationally responsible for the operating model of all Action stores. Within the department, the Stock Control team is responsible for improving on-shelf availability and reducing stock loss. The team is owner of key in-store processes (e.g. ordering, counting, returns etc) and of relevant data that drive decision making.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop insights and identify issues on availability, stock loss and stock accuracy at the stores
  • Proactively suggest areas for improvement on stock management in close alignment with the Store Process Improvement team
  • Support or develop project related business cases related to labour costs with innovative and digital approach
  • Be the single point of contact, within Store operations, for area and regional managers regarding incidents around in-store product availability and stock loss
  • Preparation of reports assuring the business insights bring impactful and relevant information to the business with clarity and accuracy
  • Answering inventory related questions from store operations

And further:

  • BSc or MSc in Business, Finance or Economics
  • Minimum 4 years work experience in similar role within retail
  • Fluent in English. Dutch and other European languages will be a plus
