Job location: Liverpool, UK (Speke) L24 8RB
Ensure the three Cargill facilities adhere to regulations and policy – through review, interpretation and implementation of customer and supplier standards
Act as a key point of contact with UK regulatory authorities
Act with ‘a customer mindset’ proactively responding to customer questions and complaints and to take action to prevent FSQR issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
Develop, implement and assess processes and systems, driving a continuous improvement mindset Manage laboratory requirements ( equipment, resources, expenses)
Engage, develop and inspire a high performing team of FSQR colleagues, responsible for the selection, training, development and performance management of a small UK based team
Requirements for the position:
University Bachelors/ Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Chemistry, Biological Science or equivalent scientific education in conjunction with proven experience in the food industry
Experience in a complex matrix-organisation, manufacturing chocolate and or fat based products would be preferred but not essential
Experience in auditing, ideally externally audit accredited
Expertise in HACCP, ISO/ FSSC 22000 and Good Manufacturing Practice
An engaging, positive leader with a ‘can do’ mentality, who can solve problems and communicate with people at all levels
Comfortable with change and ambiguity and able to prioritise effectively
A continuous improvement mentality, formal knowledge and use of CI tools would be an advantage
Fluent in English (written and spoken), other major European languages are useful but not essential
Due to the multi-site nature of the role some short term UK travel will be required and more infrequently, European travel
