As a Senior Product Owner you will own a digital product on some of the largest eCommerce sites in the UK: TUI, First Choice and Marella Cruises.

We are looking for Senior Product Owners to join our energetic team. Our website teams are located in Luton (just over 20 minutes from central London). This role is suitable for someone with experience of Product Ownership, Agile and eCommerce, who would like to work in a fast paced environment on an exciting product. The combination of Digital and Holidays makes this an exceptionally interesting place to work.

Our Senior Product Owners have a passion for creating delightful, easy to use customer journeys that deliver value. They are digitally aware, creative, adept at Agile and great communicators. They use these skills to input into the strategy, drive continuous delivery of innovative ideas into live on our digital platforms, and they then use their insight, external stimulus and excellent stakeholder management skills to feed into their backlogs and continue the evolution of our digital products.

What you will be doing

The Senior Product Owner will run their own Agile team who are all co-located, or will be a key resource on some of our largest Strategic programmes of work.

You will have a deep understanding of the current and future customer needs, and will be accountable for the end to end delivery of your Product.

You’ll work with the Product Manager and other stakeholders to help define the overall strategy and goals for your Product. You’ll then ensure that your Product team understand the strategy and lead ideation and roadmap planning with your team of designers, developers, analysts and testers to deliver against those goals.

You will work closely with the Scrum Master to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the scrum team and use ideation and prioritisation techniques to create and maintain a backlog.

You will also work with analytics to determine the impact of any changes and track performance, and then look to learn from these results and constantly iterate and evolve your Product.

Naturally we will also expect you to champion your product with stakeholders from around the business. You’ll create positive relationships whilst resolving dependencies and challenging constraints that can be changed. You will anticipate challenges and risks, and use your knowledge to help resolve these.

As a Senior Product Owner you will have a passion to keep up to date with the wider digital sphere to help identify future opportunities to ensure we are at the forefront of innovation, with a good awareness of competitors, trends and digital innovation in order to identify future opportunities.

What we are looking for

  • A strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading and inspiring a team to deliver to its full potential.
  • Good understanding of digital and eCommerce.
  • Experience of working in an Agile team as a Product Owner.
  • Ability to understand technical complexity, and customer and commercial benefits to allow effective prioritisation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Lateral thinker, able to identify the value and simplicity.
  • Experience in proactively identifying opportunities and problem solving.
  • Good knowledge of User Centred Design and design thinking.
  • Ability to lead drive ideation sessions to create valuable backlogs.
  • Ideally to have experience of a large ecommerce site, and complex organisations.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and decision making skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise a large backlog by balancing and championing both business and customer needs.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to drive the implementation of strategic developments through coordination with other business units.
  • Confidence to make clear and well-thought recommendations to influence decisions.
