    Working at Expedia (Market Associate)

Expedia annually welcomes a select group of interns and graduates to explore their passion for travel whilst developing their sales and analytical skills. Summer and Winter internships and graduate roles are offered in locations around the world.

Our Market Management team is dedicated to developing partnerships with hotels around the world to deliver best-in-class booking options for our global travelers. Our goal is to help our partners do better business. We aren’t simply selling a product; we’re nurturing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Our team believes trust and value have the biggest impact on the company’s bottom line.

We need our team to have an in-depth understanding of Expedia technology so they can explain to hoteliers how to navigate the changing landscape of online travel. We’re passionate and driven because we know that the systems we have developed make everyone’s lives easier.

As a market associate you will directly influence the travel industry by ensuring Expedia's product is competitive, attractive and relevant across our fast-growing, global customer base. You will advise and consult with individual hotel partners to develop bespoke strategies through their participation in the Expedia marketplace, impacting their overall business distribution potential and revenue.

-Real world impact from day one and throughout your career
-Freedom to contribute and build your ideas
-Network through team events and social activities

  4. Who are we looking for?

    Who are we looking for?

This isn’t your average team. We don’t try and sell our technology to the client only to pack up and leave. We build long-term relationships with our lodging partners. We believe in the solutions that our technology provides. We follow through on the promises we make. This requires strategic thinking and a genuine enthusiasm for travel. At the end of the day, when not a single room in a hotel is gathering dust, that means we’ve delivered and we live for that feeling.

Critical Competencies for our market associate positions include:

Relationship Management: Establishes and builds healthy working relationships with partners and colleagues.
•Solution Alignment: Demonstrates sufficient understanding of products, services and the market for the purpose of facilitating favourable arrangements for customers, hotel partners and Expedia.
•Written & Spoken Communications, Listening, and Influencing: Conveys, receives, and interprets ideas and information, presents information appropriately to a diverse range of audiences, and influences partner decisions.
•Build & Maintain Teams: Supports Market Management teams in learning and improving effectiveness to actively contribute to improvements in overall individual, team and organizational performance.
•Drive for Results: Driving high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishment; tenaciously working to meet or exceed challenging goals; deriving satisfaction from goal achievement and continuous improvement.
