We launched Magnet.me in 2012 to solve a problem that we experienced as students ourselves: that it is hard to find a graduate job you love. Traditional student job sites are spammy, user unfriendly and only used by big companies with big recruitment budgets, leading to nothing but frustration.

Since our launch, we have been on a mission to make it easier for students to find a job they love, at any company - regardless size, industry or budget. Not just because a (first) job earns you a living, but because having a job you genuinely love affects your life in countless ways. It makes you happier and leads to a higher self esteem. Also, your first job is your first step in your professional life, so it better be one in the right direction.

At the same time, we want to make it easier for companies - from startups to multinationals - to hire the right talent to fuel their business. After all, talent is one of the biggest contributor to business success.

At Magnet.me we work without regular meeting times, without reports, without a nine-to-five work day, with a performance driven mentality, and full of passion and expertise of our product.

At Magnet.me you work with software engineers, design guru’s, sales managers, marketing directors, and account executives who all work together to discuss and help make decisions about anything and everything. From the design of the website, the revenue model, to creating new marketing campaigns we use each others knowledge and passion to create the best possible results. In the office a ping pong table and Nintendo 64 can be found as well as two balconies with a view of the Rotterdam skyline. We have a robot (Magneto) who keeps track of the ping pong rankings as well as an environment that stimulates you to make the best of every work day at one of the fastest growing startups in The Netherlands.

Our last (but not least important) core value is: We love to work at Magnet.me

We are helping people to find their dream job at the company they('ll) love. Since we are all about setting the right example, we work hard to make working here inspiring, a learning experience and a lot of fun! A list of our perks:

- Unlimited vacation days.
- Ping pong games in Conference Room C
- Access to all Coursera courses
- Free electricity
- Paid travel expenses
- Mario Kart on Nintendo 64
- Friday afternoon drinks / BBQs / pizza's in the sun at our balcony, accompanied by the hits of the Invisible DJ and Many More

After you have created a student profile, you will directly see an overview which opportunities you are qualified for and which companies would like to connect with you based on your profile. Students can like jobs or apply directly, connect with companies and be approached by graduate employers.

Employers can post their internships, placement, graduate jobs and career events on Magnet.me for free, so students are not limited in their choice of opportunities due to a limited recruitment budget of potential employers, like startups and SMEs.
