Cargill has a long, rich heritage, starting with W. W. Cargill's first grain storage facility on the American frontier in 1865. In the 150 years that followed Cargill became a truly worldwide company. In The Netherlands Cargill B.V. was established in Amsterdam in 1959 as a commodity trading operation. Today we are engaged in the production of food ingredients and the processing, distribution and trading of a variety of agricultural products. Herewith an overview of our growth till now:
