BlackRock's business is investing on behalf of our clients, from large institutions to parents and grandparents, doctors and teachers who entrust their savings to us. We work only for our clients—period. Our promise is to offer them the clearest thinking about what to do with their money and the products and services they need to secure a better financial future.
That's why investors of all kinds have made us the world’s largest asset manager, entrusting us with trillions of dollars, and it’s why companies, institutions and global governments come to us for help meeting their biggest financial challenges.
The Analyst Program is a global program designed to acclimate and train new college graduates joining the firm [who have recently graduated college] for a long-term career with BlackRock. New hires begin their careers as analysts and take part in a two-week orientation in New York to build a common knowledge base, prepare for their role at BlackRock and create a global peer network. Analysts hear from experts on a variety of topics including business fundamentals, BlackRock culture, strategic priorities and leadership principles. They also participate in activities to foster team building, professionalism and best practices. Once the orientation concludes, BlackRock provides ongoing training and professional development throughout the first two years of the program.
Our 10-week Summer Analyst Program is designed to provide students a challenging, meaningful and supportive internship experience that replicates as closely as possible the experience of being a full-time BlackRock analyst. Intern orientation offers a thorough overview of the firm and includes a speaker series featuring many of BlackRock's senior leaders. Following orientation, interns receive on-the-job training and are given day-to-day responsibilities to contribute to assigned teams throughout the summer. The program also includes a team portfolio challenge, innovation challenge (hackathon), mentoring, and networking opportunities. BlackRock invites our most successful summer interns back to join our Analyst Program for a full-time position.
