Halloween is just around the corner and some of us are stuck in college either having exams, or … well, doing our studies. So we were thinking of what things there are to do on Halloween when you are a college student and here is what we came up with.
Go to a party (the most obvious one)
Duuh, srsly? Yeah, let’s get this one out of the way so we can actually continue with the useful tips.
From student associations to fraternities/sororities – they all organize parties for Halloween so we are sure that you have seen some of those passing by. Hopefully, they have dress codes too. Gather some college buddies and go have a fun night out until dawn.
Throw a party yourself
Now, there are two ways you can go about this.
The first one is to gather some people at home and have what they call “a memorable moment”. You know, one of those moments you can relate when people say that the best memories start that way.
The second one is to invite your close circle of friends and play board games plus a little bit of drinks.
And dance like you own the place!
Carve out a pumpkin
Yeah, I mean – is it a lot of work? Yes. Will it be fun? Probably not. But does it take a lot of time? Kinda.
So it is an option, depending on what you want to carve. This, for example, is not the best idea for college Halloween:
If you are gonna spend some time on it, at least make something cool and original, like this:
Do a dancing contest with your friends and reward them the masterpiece you made above
You read it correctly. Pick your fav song, make your college friends dress up for college Halloween night and let the best monster win.
The winner wins your brilliant carved out pumpkin.
Create the best candy cake ever
I mean, if you go trick or treating from door to door in college, we at least hope you collect some tasty candy. Because then you can create the best cake ever made out of all that candy with insane decorations… I mean, it is your kitchen, you can do whatever you want there.
In the name of Halloween!
I have no idea why we have decided that everything in this list needs to be a contest (what if you don’t have friends?) but just roll with it.
College Halloween is not the most optimal place to get candy so if you don’t have any or are lazy to go out and get some, you can do a bake off at home. Grab some crazy Halloween cookie forms (obviously prepare beforehand, not a last minute idea) and get to bakin’.
Go to the cinema and watch a horror movie
If you want to go out of the house so badly and want to avoid going to a party, going to the movies is a good idea. Most probably, you are going to be watching a scary horror movie but you know, in the name of Halloween, that is ok.
And if none of the above suit you, you can always stay home and go on Magnet.me to find your future internship or graduate job.
