We are looking for out-going individuals that are excited by new technology and innovation within Information Technology. We are looking for visionary candidates that can be part of the new Innovation team at Philips to explore trends such as Augmented Reality, IoT and Machine Learning.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide hands on research and investigation into key IT trends in technology
  • Support with coordinating workshops and Hackathons to test new technologies
  • Provide thought leadership to work with the Architecture community to help convey the technology vision and strategy
  • Work with a group of Architects to show how new innovations can be applied and adopted at Philips
  • Help with the prototyping and exploration of new technologies

Your team

You will report into the IT Innovation and Emerging Technology Lead. This role sits within the Royal Philips IT department with the aim to test, discover and explore the rapidly moving technology world. You will work closely with Architects as well as IT specialists in order to review new innovations.

You will be working at our High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, but occasionally you will travel to our Head Office in Amsterdam.

Our offer

  • This is an non-thesis internship
  • Duration: 6 months. We do however prefer students able to attend a 9 months assignment
  • We are looking for student able to start as soon as possible, but no later than June 2017

Internship conditions:

  • Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
  • A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
  • A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
  • The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
  • Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

  • Currently studying towards your UniversityBachelor of Science/Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:
  • Business Administration
  • (International) Business Management
  • Business Informatics
  • Information Technology

  • Strong business mindset with an interest in IT.

  • Solid hands-on, entrepreneurial mentality
  • A drive and passion for success
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Above average to Top results in your studies
