For this assignment, we are looking for a pro-active student who can provide a fresh and critical view on the assignments given. Apart from that, there is an excellent opportunity to gain an in-depth experience with the Philips Personal Health business.

Your responsibilities

  • To provide analyses of the accounts’ performance and make proposals for improvements for more effective account management
  • To make Competition / Market analyses
  • To find Product group / Retail business opportunities
  • Day to day account management support

Your team

It concerns an internship in the Sales Department. You will report to the Channel Director Food – Drug - Perfumery who reports to the Sales Director.

You will be working from our office located in Eindhoven at the Boschdijk.

Our offer

The assignment will provide a good understanding of the business mechanics and operations between Philips and its retail partners. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the commercial results of the customers in this channel.

  • It can be discussed to make this assignment suitable for thesis
  • Duration: 6 months
  • We prefer students able to start as soon as possible no later than April 2017

Internship conditions:

  • Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
  • A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
  • A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
  • The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
  • Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

We are looking for

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor HBO / Bachelor or Science/Master or science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:
  • Business Economics
  • (International) Business Management
  • Economics
  • Management Sciences
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Are fluent in oral and written Dutch and English
  • Excellent Microsoft Skills in particular Excel
