Software developer for rehabilitation technology (Expired)
Would you like to be part of a groundbreaking, serious gaming application in the healthcare domain? This position offers valuable experience in a booming segment and the opportunity to improve patients’ lives. SymbioTherapy, a spin-off company from the TU/e and Adelante Zorggroep, is looking for a motivated software developer with interest and expertise in developing interactive applications for healthcare.
Symbio Therapy has developed a home care solution for rehabilitation therapy that enables patients to train their fine motor skills. The therapy is primarily focused on children with cerebral palsy and stroke victims. Our solution, TagTrainer, is an interactive board that allows patients to place and move RFID (radio-frequency identifier) tagged objects, whilst providing stimuli and feedback to motivate rehabilitation. Training can be otherwise monotonous and tiring for patients, our software allows authoring and modification of training programs giving patients independence and encouragement. The system is now used under the supervision of therapists who can personalize and customize training materials. The aim is to enable patients to use the system independently and unsupervised at home.
