It focuses on the management of, recruitment of, and the direction of people who work for our Company, plus much more! Here at Mitchells & Butlers, HR has many departments such as: Training, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Shared Services, Reward and much more!

Our HR programme is designed to quickly get graduates to their first appointment within our Human Resources function, whilst ensuring you don’t miss out on any critical learning experiences. The scheme provides a fast track through varying aspects of the Human Resources function and the potential opportunity to study towards a professional qualification (CIPD.) You would gain the benefit of a tailored programme that flexes to your individual development needs and also allows you to become involved in real business projects from a HR perspective through your programme. We will offer you application support as you are nearing the end of your twelve months and review your time with us to understand where you could really add value to our business long term. We also give you the opportunity to spend time in our restaurants/pubs or bars, to really understand just how our businesses tick!

To help you on your journey as a Graduate, you will have a dedicated Line Manager assigned to you from the output, this will be a Senior Manager and a specialist in Human Resources. You will have a Placement Manager assigned for each placement. This will be an experienced individual in the placement function. They help to set clear placement objectives and provide on the job coaching and feedback in order to develop capability. They will be your day to day contact whilst in placement and also review the placement objectives and placement progress. On top of this dedicated support, you would also be assigned a Buddy – this is a graduate from the year above who works in similar discipline and can answer questions about the scheme, the company, how things work and what to expect, and a Coach/Mentor to support you through your time on scheme.

This is a great opportunity for an energetic, and hard working Graduate with an expected or achieved 2:1 degree or above, looking to join an exciting and ever growing company in September/October 2018.

This role may have a heavy element of travel nationwide, with a potential focus in the Midlands, as our Retail Support Centre is in Birmingham City Centre, so you must be happy to spread your wings and spend time in different parts of the country.

Job Requirements:

  • 2:1 degree or above, expected or achieved
  • Three A-Levels: A:B:B
  • Operations/retail work experience, associated degree internships or placements, highly desirable
  • Mature, focused and hard working attitude
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for Food & Drink.
