The Role

We are looking for talented individuals to join our programmatic display campaign team, which is one of the fastest growing and most highly respected in the UK and Europe.

You may be wondering what programmatic display is. Well put simply, programmatic display is a way of advertising online to targeted consumers. Users browsing the internet could see programmatic display banner ads, and the advertisers pay for the serving of those ads.

You will work with colleagues and clients to understand our clients’ objectives and will formulate a campaign strategy based around these. You will be responsible for designing and implementing campaigns, analysing performance data, and identifying ways to optimise performance. You will liaise directly with clients, providing them with regular reports, analysis, insights and big-picture strategy.

As part of a fast growing team you will be encouraged to help assist with our evolution and will have the opportunity to learn about new areas within the programmatic space, often having the chance to be first to market with new tools or targeting strategies.

Programmatic advertising is a rapidly evolving sector and there is a strong focus on sharing skills and experience within the team. You will be encouraged to participate in, and contribute to, our various initiatives in this regard as well as publishing blog posts etc. to help promote our capabilities with the wider community.

Thanks to the rapid growth and our commitment to hiring only at junior levels, there are fantastic opportunities for career progression. These include mentoring and training, development of our technical capabilities and thought leadership, driving strategy across multiple accounts, and ultimately the potential to manage a team of specialists.

Previous experience in programmatic advertising is not required, as we provide a comprehensive six week structured training program. It may feel like a lot to take in at first but you’ll be up to scratch in no time.

The Individual

Hopefully the above has given you a picture of what your day or week could look like here; fast-paced, autonomous and hugely rewarding. As such, we’re looking for enthusiastic people who are comfortable managing their own time, able to effectively prioritise work and recognise problems and opportunities to seek support as necessary.

We don’t need you to have worked in digital marketing before but there are some key requirements. Everyone that works in our programmatic marketing team has their own clients which means that strong written and verbal communications are a requisite, as well as confidence in dealing with people at a range of different levels. You’re going to be optimising your campaign based on data; so whilst you don’t have to be Stephen Hawking, being comfortable with basic numeracy and spreadsheetery is really handy. Similarly, logic and reasoning skills are a must if you’re to effectively tackle a potential minefield of problems in a successful way. Finally – passion, ambition and curiosity are all great traits in any candidate as they demonstrate your ability to be a good team-player who will contribute to our ongoing success.

To demonstrate the above, we’re looking for you to have an outstanding academic record (remember, we love geeks!) including the following or equivalent:

• Minimum of 320 UCAS points (ABB at A-Level)

• A degree classification of 2:1 or above (in any subject)

Language skills are a huge plus! We are currently in need of German, Dutch and Arabic speakers especially.

What’s in it for You?

As we progress and develop as a company, you will too. We’re committed to ensuring that you’re constantly learning new skills, being challenged whilst also feeling valued and supported. We have fantastic training and mentorship programmes in place to help you get up to speed with what we do, learn how everything works and pass your Google exams. Within our fast-growing company, there’s plenty of opportunity to develop your skillset and you’ll be encouraged to be curious and share new ideas. From the very beginning you’ll be involved in exciting projects and working alongside an industry-leading team. In exchange for your contribution to our award-winning company, we make sure you take advantage of a generous holiday allowance and are paid a competitive salary. We’re really proud of our company values and culture; we’re always planning company socials and want all our employees to enjoy coming into work.

As well as excellent growth and development opportunities, we have a fantastic work environment. We’re based by London Bridge / Bermondsey where we have a modern, bright, open-planned office which has a friendly and approachable atmosphere. We have a casual dress code so you can wear your jeans and trainers into work which is awesome. There’s a games room downstairs (next to the auditorium which we use as a cinema some evenings!) where you can find a pool table and ping pong - there’s always someone ready to challenge you to a game. We all take lunch from 12.30pm – 1.30pm so are encouraged to take a break from work and catch up with friends (there’s a monthly book club and weekly Pilates classes if you’d like to do this during your break). Merkle order and pay for our lunch on the last Friday of every month – always a welcomed perk before payday! Speaking of food, there’s always plenty of snacks and nibbles in the office. There are endless spreads available for your toast in the morning and fresh fruit is delivered to us throughout the week (the grapes seem to disappear very quickly!). There’s plenty of teas and coffee machines – and biscuits to go with your cuppa. And on Friday afternoon you can help yourself to a celebratory drink at 4.30pm (aka Four Thirsty!). We also have perks such as the Cycle2Work scheme, free eye tests, a company mobile phone and season ticket loans.
