Are you the student who the set Design Rules will decide ? Respond quickly !

Your job

As a graduate, you will use design rules to document specific IHC knowledge and experience with regard to naval architecture. This is for the purposes of safeguarding knowledge and ensuring uniformity in the designs of our junior engineers. IHC's engineers and specialists have a wealth of knowledge and experience, but this is often less accessible and available to our younger engineers and specialists. As a result, the most appropriate knowledge is not always applied and uniformity is lacking in the technical solutions they select. You will investigate what specific naval architecture knowledge should be documented, what is available and what new standards should be developed. The end result will be the adoption of a set of design rules that must be used for the basis of all IHC ships. This will be prepared in English.

Your profile

To be eligible for the graduation project, you must have the following:

be in the final year of the Naval Architecture programme at a higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) level, knowledge and experience in research and reporting, knowledge and experience in naval architecture and ship design, an analytical approach , good communication skills in both Dutch and English, availability for a period of approximately six months.
