Cognizant’s Digital Business unit helps business develop and execute a digital business strategy aligned to their business objectives, leveraging digital capabilities and market advantages to produce sustainable competitive advantage. Depending on the client digital maturity level we can help assess, strategize and prototype different digital models and workflows in a very short-cycled iterative manner using agile and scrum approaches depending on the exact client situation and needs.

We can scale up from small mobile apps to large scale legacy to new data migrations and set up digital workplaces for employees, clients or client-clients. We help organizations capitalize on their dormant data, fully utilize the code halos of their clients across social, media, analytics and cloud domains. Real-time trajectory predictability mapping and analytics is second nature to us.

Your 1st assignment could involve any combination of User Experience Research and User Experience Design.

Your role as UX Designer

You will contribute to the development of key interactive experiences and flows that are consistent and intuitive. You will collaborate daily with a diverse set of specialists from information architects, visual designers, project managers, writers and developers to deliver these digital experiences.Role & Responsibilities

These are the main areas of focus for a UX Designer:

Managing and delivering projects

• Creating UX designs - Create clear documentation (including UX design rules, paper and click-

through prototypes) that fosters a delightful user experience.

• Researching UX - Participate in user experience research and usability studies.

• Building knowledge across the team – Participate in regular design reviews and other team-wide design efforts.

• Designing mobile products and explore the subtle differences between iOS, Android and Microsoft

• Ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale to other team members.

Job Scope

• This role calls for an individual who can focus on the detail, being thoroughly “buttoned-down” and on top of all aspects of their projects, while being aware of the bigger picture.

• The job will open opportunities for an individual interested in furthering their career Project Management.

• You will be directly working with our clients on business improvements, requirements gathering and system development. You will be part of a dynamic team delivering state of the art solutions to our clients.

Being passionate about ‘being digital’

• Make it your business to learn as much as possible: reading relevant blogs and articles,

attending training sessions, talking to experts and taking an interest generally in what is going on around you.

• Be plugged in to new trends and developments across the industry and particularly within the client’s sector.

• Strong Interaction design interest: ability to convey concepts through wireframes, flows and mock-ups.

• Comfort with generating graphic representations, working closely with the visual designers to develop a creative and rich visual language; on-screen graphic design, illustration and data visualization.

TRAINING, SUPPORT AND COACHING

Prior to starting your first client engagement, you will attend a New Hire Training Program for graduates abroad to ensure you have a solid understanding of Cognizant’s culture and processes. You will have the opportunity for further training and support by our own Academy to help you achieve your long-term career goals, like working with different cultures, requirement gathering, project management, agile development and many more.

The induction program normally starts in January, April or September. These are also the

moments when you will start.

Key requirements:

• Min. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Interactive Media, Communication Multimedia and Design, Interaction Design, Design for Interaction other related majors;

• (Preferably) demonstrated ability to apply UX methods and UX Designs;

• Ability to work collaboratively with global project teams;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (in Dutch and English)

• Nil or maximum 1,5 years relevant work experience after graduation;

• You must be authorized and eligible to work freely in the EU.
