As a CMT on the cocoa trading desk you will become part of a determined, high performance team of engaged people with diverse backgrounds. You will start being responsible for buying certain origins of cocoa beans for our processing plants or assist in executing our futures & options business and will rotate on the desk to get exposure to all the tasks related to trading and risk management.
On a daily basis you will be talking to suppliers of cocoa beans, and to traders and brokers in the global physical and futures & options markets. You will be managing price risk in volatile markets through the ICE cocoa futures exchanges in London and New York. On the cocoa merchandising floor there is an intense coordination and cooperation between those who trade cocoa beans and futures & options and those who trade cocoa products with customers.
We will train you on the job. You will be exposed to an international environment where you interact between origin countries in Africa, Asia and South America, and the trading centers in London and New York. It is an environment where you need to think and act quickly as a lot is at stake.
As a CMT you participate in Cargill’s European Graduate Program, a two-year development program that offers a unique job learning experience plus personal development through mentorship and soft skill trainings. The location of the job is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, The Netherlands.
