The Board of Management consists of four members and is chaired by Peter Berdowski. They are responsible for establishing the company’s objectives, implementing its business policies and for the resulting performance. Lots of impact on megatrends and plenty of growth opportunities. That’s what the Boskalis Traineeship is all about. The Traineeship lasts 18 months during which you will complete 3 different (inter)national assignments tailored to your study and background.

You kickstart your career with quite some training. Although it's not set in stone, this is what you can expect as a minimum:

-On and off the job coaching by a mentor, dedicated business coach, and external coach.
-Internal- and external training sessions in order to give you and your fellow Trainees more information to be able to discover what motivates you in order to specify your development goals.
-Safety courses (e.g. BOSIET, First Aid). A top priority within Boskalis and needed to be able to work on our projects
-After a training period, you go to an assignment within the Netherlands or abroad. Whatever the location of your assignment; we guarantee you to be taken out of your comfort zone and to gain a lot of experience.


Are you are under 36 years of age? If so, then you will automatically be a member of Young Boskalis from the moment you join the company. As a club for professionals embarking on careers in various positions, Young Boskalis gives you the opportunity to build a valuable network and share knowledge and experiences with other members. Young professionals are our talent for the future so we are eager to give you the space you need to develop.

The purpose of Young Boskalis is to connect young professionals with one another. Every year Young Boskalis organizes various activities, such as a visit to a project or vessel in the Netherlands, a lecture on one of our prestigious projects, networking get-togethers, workshops aimed at personal development, and active events such as our dredging regatta Baggerzeilweekend or annual Wintersport Trip. The activities always take place in a relaxed and informal setting that is conducive to getting to know each other well and coming up with good ideas.
