Plant Oxford is one of the most modern and technically advanced car plants in the world and is the heart of MINI – while Plant Swindon is where MINI panels are pressed. BMW Plant Hams Hall manufactures small fuel efficient, low emission engines for BMW and MINI vehicles.

Material Flow Planning
The BMW Group is recruiting an intern to undertake a role within our Logistics Planning department in Material Flow Planning - based at MINI Plant Oxford, the birthplace of MINI production and one of the most modern and technically advanced car plants in the world. The Internship will commence July 2018 and last for 12 months.
As a member of the department you will support the early phase planning and introduction of new models and logistic innovations with regard to all aspects of the Material Flow, from the point the parts arrive at the Plant to the point they are fitted to the car.
The role will include preparing/maintaining a logistics database in conjunction with internal process partners for all planning activities, support creation of evaluations and business cases for new projects and new technologies, support/lead optimization projects within Logistics, provide status reports and prepare for meetings.
We offer a competitive salary of £17,500 per annum and a range of benefits including a pension scheme, generous holiday allowance and a subsidised on-site restaurant. As an intern you will also have the opportunity to take part in the testing of new vehicles through one of our car schemes. Throughout your internship you will be supported by our experts in your chosen field, as well as being surrounded by many fellow interns.

Qualifications and experience
- Potential candidates should be studying towards an Undergraduate Degree in Business or Engineering with a focus on Logistics and be on track to achieve a 2:1 standard or higher.
- Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of all standard Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, some knowledge/exposure to SAP would also be beneficial
- Good english and Communication skills are also expected
