Bloomon is a successful e-commerce venture, disrupting the international flower industry. The flower sector generates over €50 billion in annual turnover but 99% of the sector still operates offline.

The Bloomon founder team consists of seasoned e-commerce experts (ex Rocket Internet) as well as strategy-consultants (The Boston Consulting Group), and has raised funding from renowned VCs as well as international entrepreneurs. The company has been covered in articles by over 50 national and international newspapers, journals and magazines.

From the centre of Amsterdam, Bloomon is changing the traditional flower industry and driving the industry’s shift from offline to online. After successful launches in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, the company has now launched in the UK. Therefore we are looking for a smart, ambitious and talented intern to scale our organisation internationally.

Job description

Recently we have started the expansion of Bloomon to the UK. Therefore we are looking for an intern that can take a leading role in further developing our business. You will have a unique chance to take ownership and carry responsibility for the growth of the business, find and contract local partners in the supply chain, set up of sales and marketing, adjust the strategy to the local environment and building the team in London and throughout the UK. During this internship you will get a lot of responsibility and we expect you to be a self-starter and work independently. We offer a unique opportunity to truly develop your entrepreneurial skills and learn how to build a company from the very start.

Job requirements

  • Recent master or bachelor graduate from a top-tier university
  • Pro-active and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Proven entrepreneurial experience in previous jobs or extracurricular activities, experience at another startup is a bonus but not necessary
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured approach to your work, and an ability to switch between detail and the strategic level.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable reaching out to external parties.
  • Passion for start-ups, e-commerce and entrepreneurship
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter and results oriented
