Associate consultants (ACs) are the heart and soul of our organization. As an AC, you will be our front line. You will develop powerful insights that will be used to support senior executives as they drive change across their organizations. Being a part of the solution for numerous clients will be an unmatched learning experience that will help you realize your fullest potential and attain your personal career goals.
We are looking for people with strong analytical abilities and outstanding academic records. However, simply being eager, driven and smart will not earn you a spot on our team. Our team is made up of passionate people, who are uncomfortable with the status quo, who are supportive of one another and who like to have a little fun while solving real-world problems. Bain Amsterdam recruits for full-time positions throughout the year, but we do have application deadlines for students interested in a specific start date. Please check with your university’s career services office for those application deadlines, or visit your university’s page to learn more about the application process.
Please contact us if you have questions about the AC or SAC recruiting process.
Who should apply to be an AC?
We encourage undergraduates and students who are pursuing the final year of their master's degree to apply for an AC position. Master’s candidates with up to four years of relevant professional experience should also apply for the AC role. Your position level will be assessed and adjusted, if needed, during the interviews. Who should apply to be an SAC?
The senior associate consultant (SAC) position is open to candidates who have one to three years of successful work experience. We are not looking for candidates to have any specific industry knowledge or background, as Bain hires and trains generalists. Instead, we are looking for people with outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills, which, in most cases, will be demonstrated by their professional and academic achievements.
We offer associate consultant intern (ACI) opportunities throughout the year toundergraduates (between their third and fourth years of school) and master’s students. The ACI role is ideal for top-performing students, who are ready for real-life business experiences in a high-energy and professional environment. During this 10-week program, you will receive business and strategy training and work on real Bain cases. This internship involves hard work and has a steep learning curve, but the experience will be rewarding and fun—there will also be parties and trips to look forward to. Learn more about the ACI role.
