We are seeking to recruit an ambitious Year Out Facilities Management Consultant to support the various teams to work on our design and consultancy projects within the Buildings sector. Job Description

Working within a multidisciplinary team our Year Out Building Services Engineers will work on a range of CAPEX and OPEX projects and programmes as well as FM commissions, technical surveys, feasibility/options appraisals and the provision of technical solution in order to help maximise the value our clients achieve from their property. The role includes the management of the engineering services (Heating, ventilation, Air Conditioning, Electrics, Vertical transportation etc.) design within a wide cross section of properties and portfolios. This involves the design specification and management of M&E projects as well as the specification and management of maintenance and statutory compliance

Working with senior colleagues our Year Out Building Services Engineers will be actively involved in surveying and inspecting installations and properties, designing building services installations preparing feasibility studies, defect analysis, technical audits as well as direct client and customer liaison.

The position includes a relatively high level of responsibility and accountability with opportunity to develop managerial as well as technical knowledge and skills, and to progress rapidly. Our senior Chartered Engineers will support individuals through their training and preparation for chartership with relevant preferred organisations (CIBSE, IMechE, IET).

  • To provide support in the delivery of projects and professional assignments.
  • To develop the success of the projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment
  • To be able to take a simple brief from a more senior member of staff and act upon it.
  • Demonstrate effective communication ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of projects
  • To ensure that senior management have quality information on the progress of each project on a regular basis.
  • To develop strong working relationships with clients

  • To provide all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Under Graduate studying towards a degree in Engineering with Building Services Engineering (accredited by UK Engineering Council).
  • A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail who is well organised and can operate independently under a broad direction.
  • A team player who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both within the Company and outside
  • A broad thinker who can take a global view and has an inherent ability to get the job done.
